History of RoboCallWall

It has been said that "necessity is the mother of invention."

Phone scams are inherently evil!

"I decided there had to be an answer."

My Dad was in the hospital and I went to his house after a couple days and he had 57 missed calls and a dozen or so messages. Almost all of the messages were robo calls and it is likely the majority of the others were too.

He had complained about robo calls, we all do, but I did not realize the number calls he was receiving daily. He has a "landline" through Cox cable and I thought it might have useful features but I could not have been more wrong. It could only block a limited number of phone numbers, and you had to log into their web site and maintain the list manually. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support and 45 minutes with them on a chat (transcript available) to find out they do not even understand call terms like:

simultaneous ring
sequential forwading
supervised transfer

Their call forwarding is an extra cost and is unable to use "nomorobo". Their uselessly small number of blacklist callers maintained manually on the Web would not help my 89 year-old Dad. I decided there had to be an answer.

Looking for solutions to the problem for landlines turned up no brilliant options. While my Dad was in and out of the hospital and rehab I built a quick solution for home phones that could use the power of cloud based data from the masses to check the caller and hang up on robo callers.

RoboCallWall was born. This device has saved my family and friends countless hours dealing with robo calls, telemarketing and phone scams, and it can help your family, friends and businesses too.
